Who are AIS?

boy and goal

Ambassadors in Sport’s goal is to bring hope through football.

Hope for local people, local communities and the wider world of football.

Here in the London area this means working with young offenders in Hackney, running community programmes in Bromley, programmes for young people at risk in Hemel Hempstead, soccer schools in Newham, Islington and Muswell Hill, and coach education programmes in Watford.

In these programmes we teach more than football and coaching skills, we work with young people to develop life skills such as teamwork and cooperation, perseverance and self-control, both on and off the pitch.

Overseas we work with AIDS orphans in South Africa, with children in Indonesian refugee camps that were affected by the tsunami, and street children in Brazil.

Our ethos at AIS is rooted in our Christian values. We passionately believe that every child matters, every child has the right to play and enjoy themselves, and every child deserves hope for a better tomorrow.
